On our February camping trip, scouts focused on the Camping merit badge. Led by older scouts and Mr. and Mrs. Corbett, scouts learned the fundamentals of camping — how to have a great time in nature and be safe while doing so. We learned essential first aid skills, how to pitch different types of tents, how to navigate in the wilderness using a map and compass, and how to be prepared in various weather conditions.
This trip also featured many board games! Scouts had fun playing Mexican Train, Jenga, and other games in the cabin.
